Face Coverings Required on all VTA Buses

masks required on buses

Per Local Board of Health Vote:

Effective Thursday - April 30, 2020

All passengers and drivers will be required to wear a face covering on VTA buses.

The face covering must cover your nose and mouth and be worn at all times while on-board.  Drivers will have masks available for those passengers who do not have one upon boarding – therefore no passenger will be passed for not wearing a mask.  If you are passed and not wearing a mask, please call 508.693.9440 ext.3, or email [email protected] and we will work to resolve the issue.

In addition, on April 28, 2020 Governor Baker extended the Stay at Home Order through May 18, 2020.  Please only use the bus if it is absolutely necessary for essential travel.  Remember to make use of the hand sanitizing stations and practice social distancing as much as possible when onboard.  As ridership increases as the busy season approaches, the VTA will look at different ways to maintain social distancing on board VTA buses for the safety of our drivers and riders.

Thank you for your continued support of the VTA, and a thank you to all our drivers for keeping us moving during these times.  Stay safe and healthy!
